• Pattern: The free “Dutchman’s Puzzle” quilt pattern is from Sew Can She. I love how the basic blocks form a secondary pattern when assembled!

• Fabric: “3-Yard Quilts” are gaining popularity amongst quilters! These quilts use just 1 yard of 3 different fabrics. For my Dutchman’s Puzzle, I combined 2 yards of Tilda (a Norwegian fabric designer) with 1 yard of Ruby Star fabric from my stash. I created a customized machine quilting design to highlight each block, framed with a swirling floral border. Backing fabric is black and daisy printed cotton.
